Project Overview
The Krause Gateway Center was designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop in collaboration with OPN Architects. It is situated in downtown Des Moines, Iowa just north of the Pappajohn Sculpture Park. The site’s location is at a shift in the city's grid system, which inspired the design. The building rotates the uppermost floors to orient with the northern city grid while maintaining alignment with the surrounding context on the lower floors. This inspiring design has many aspects that architects will love. From its focus on daylighting to it's incredible level of precision, explore our homage to the Krause Gateway Center today.
